ETC Group ozone generators are professional systems designed for continuous air treatment in commercial kitchens. With an efficiency above 95%, they use advanced corona discharge technology to produce high-purity ozone capable of eliminating cooking odors, vapors, smoke and airborne grease particles. Built entirely from AISI 304 stainless steel and CE certified, these systems guarantee safety, long-term durability and 24/7 operation, making them ideal for restaurants, industrial kitchens, canteens, pizzerias and food processing labs.
Ozone is one of the most powerful natural oxidizers, and when applied inside kitchen extraction systems, it neutralizes persistent organic odors, breaks down volatile compounds and grease vapors, reduces microbial load (viruses, bacteria and mold), keeps ducts cleaner, lowers fire risks and significantly reduces maintenance costs. When combined with an activated carbon post-treatment unit, the air can be safely recirculated into the environment, as all ozone residue is completely neutralized.
ETC Group offers two main product lines. The CUBIK line is designed for fixed installations and high-intensity cooking environments. These units feature stainless steel construction, high-efficiency ceramic/plasma ozone reactors, extremely low energy consumption (25–80W) and stable continuous performance even in demanding professional kitchens such as Asian restaurants, fast-food operations and frying-based kitchens. The COMPACT line is designed for small kitchens or limited spaces, offering models from 5, 10, 20, 60 and 120 g/h. The compact design makes it ideal for light-duty applications while still ensuring excellent deodorization and grease reduction.
The operating process consists of three stages: first, the system extracts contaminated air through an internal fan and pre-filter; second, the air passes through high-purity ozone reactors where advanced oxidation breaks down odors, grease molecules and VOCs; third, the treated air is passed through an activated carbon unit that completely neutralizes ozone and ensures clean, odor-free air.
Typical applications include restaurants, pizzerias, fast-food kitchens, ethnic kitchens with strong odors, frying-intensive kitchens, gastronomy labs, catering centers, food preparation areas, pre-processing zones and storage areas. All ETC Group ozone generators comply with European safety standards, including Directive 2006/42/EC, Directive 2014/35/EU, CEI 64-8 and EN 60204. Proper installation requires stainless steel brackets, rigid PVC or stainless-steel ducts, and a minimum safety distance of 30 cm from flammable materials.
Maintenance is minimal: filter cleaning every 3 months, fan check every 6 months, ozone emitter inspection every 12 months and annual electrical inspection. Thanks to their robust construction and optimized technology, these generators ensure reliability and long service life with minimal operational costs.

A technical note: ozone generators are not suitable for treating “white fumes” produced by high-temperature oil combustion, such as burger grills or industrial deep fryers. In these cases, professional electrostatic filters are required.

Required ozone capacity depends on airflow and hood length: typically 10 to 20 g/h per 1,000 m³/h of extracted air. Treated air is safe for recirculation because all ozone residue is removed by activated carbon. Maintenance is minimal, usually every 6–12 months.
